What's Better than Bread & Cocktails?
The beauty & curse of living in Brooklyn is being in such close proximity to artisanal cocktails & freshly baked bread. Stubbornly wanting to figure out how to make them both within the comfort of my own apartment, I took it upon myself to find recipes & try it out for myself. Pretty soon I became the resident whole-wheat loaf maker for holidays & the girl to call for happy hours.
Where in the World is Zuzu?
I've always enjoyed finding new corners of tiny towns that I can call my own through road trips with friends & family. From January to May of 2017, I decided to take it across the ocean. Living in Brussels, Belgium that spring, I had the opportunity to travel across Europe & made a road map of my trip (even though I tended to use frighteningly cheap airfares).
Traveling on a Tight (Read: Cheap) Budget?
In order to last an entire spring on the budget I'd anxiously scribbled together a month before I left, I depended on deals & free activities - here were some of my favorites:
-Skyscanner was my incredibly reliable (& frugal) friend throughout the entire experience of booking flights well in advance or completely last minute.
-TimeOut had advice for every single one of the cities I was about to check out, easing my worries that I wouldn't have any fun.
-Let's Go puts together some great itineraries for anyone looking to see a city without finding an overdraft fee afterwards.
The Cheapest & Most Expensive Cities?
$ - Madrid, Spain
$$ - Haarlem, The Netherlands
$$$ - London, England
Who Doesn’t Love a Good Dog?
Growing up surrounded by animals is something that’s hard to let go when you move to your own place. Rather than constantly bothering my family to pet the dogs, I decided to look into dog walking as a side gig & spent many weekends meeting everyone from Archie the Weiner Dog to Leila the Australian Shepherd.
