Wasserman [December 2022 - Present]
Like many have told me throughout my career, sometime a push in the deep end (& towards a wildly different direction) is a good thing for you! And I’m here to report back that it is indeed true.
Taking a leap of faith away from sonic branding and towards experiential design, I stepped into a Creative Project Manager role that has allowed me to truly use the right & left of my brain every single day. I’m the person who balances the budgets, process the invoices, & updates our servers - while also being a sounding board for my team, staffing according to their interests, & keeping in mind their overall bandwidth.
Made Music Studio [September 2017 - December 2022]
Initially starting out as an intern in September 2017, I spent a semester learning about creative briefs, client timelines, and the power of sonic branding. In January of 2017, I was lucky enough to be hired as the Assistant to the Founder + EVP - a position that is different every single day & always kept me busy. I spent my time streamlining communication within the company, managing several projects at a time, & consistently collaborate with staff to drive growth. By January of 2018, I transitioned over to the Client Development team, where I oversaw the launch of sonic identity systems & interactive experiences for brands including NPR, Citi, & the ground up development of YMYF.
Fast forward to 2022 & before I left MMS, I became a Senior Project Manager who acted as the main day-to-day client lead who helped to uncover the sound of yogurt, classic film, luxury cars, you name it.
NGAGE Sports & Entertainment [September 2016 - August 2017]
By spending my fall & summer with a world-class artist management, music publishing, & music services company, I was able to gain experience in the breadth of the industry with all of the benefits that a small boutique workplace brings to the table. Being hands-on with projects relating to sync & licensing, A&R & social media management made me hungry for more & eager to find out what else there is to learn.
Foundations Music [September 2015 - December 2015]
After researching the management behind some of my favorite alternative artists, I took my first crack at the music industry with this Brooklyn-based company. Throughout the semester I spent with them, I was able to figure out what made me passionate (finding those new artists that deserve to be heard) & how to quickly move within the fast-paced environment (never forgetting the smallest of tasks & making sure to check off each to-do with pride).
Other Work
In addition to these companies, I've made an effort to expand my skills into other areas & branch out my background to different fields in order to gain new insights. Experience in radio & education advanced my own communication skills & my ability to help develop a brand, while my stints in food service taught me how to stay calm even as things are on fire or spilling everywhere.
